Sophie has worked in many different situations from teaching young people in schools working towards large and small-scale community celebrations to regular classes with elderly and mentally ill participants. She has worked with a wide range of people including different age groups, abilities and cultures. Her breadth of experience has been an asset to this company’s development in community and educational arts. She has worked in formal and informal settings including early years, primary and secondary education and has run teacher-training sessions.
Her visual artwork is innovative and beautiful and I have especially enjoyed her inventiveness and versatility. Never satisfied with just repeating tried and tested techniques she has a wonderful eye for what might be possible with a wide range of materials.
Sophie works with enthusiasm and skill. She is hard working, reliable and works well on her own as well as part of a team. She has a steady and professional attitude and has coped well with very demanding situations. Sophie is able to take responsibility for organisational as well as artistic aspects of a project. Participants enjoy working with her because she has an easy, direct, humorous and caring approach towards them and the art she makes with them. "
