The students of Alderman Peel High School are getting stuck in making some colourful lanterns for this year's procession on the 1st December in Wells next the Sea.
This is just one shot from probably 1300 I took at the Early Arts UnConference this week. I will be making them into a short film of sorts soon. It was lots of fun, as you can see, but there was also a lot of debate and discussion about early years practice and creativity. All good stuff. Got the brain whirring and buzzing and looking for more!
I took the kids to the Sainsbury Centre in half term hols, as a punter for a change. We all loved these Thomas Houseago sculptures. They are really crude, rough and huge if you are only two. I really like the smudged, dirtiness of them. We thought we might have a go at making something similar out of cardboard. Standing there looking at them it all felt very possible.
Just parking this here, even though it makes me cringe, as I might want to refer to it later.
