The sounds of the sea were heard at Norwich Puppet Theatre today ( thanks Darren!) An enormous boat, big enough for us all, rose up out of nothing. Young and old worked together to create a ship full of delights, singing sea shanties as we went.
![]() Very very excited to be part of Team Magic for the 2014 residencies of Magic Adventure. Magic Adventure is an interactive installation for very young children and babies. I will be lucky enough to be working with Charlotte Arculus and Saffron Paffron; amazing performers and makers who originally devised and designed the show. Alongside them, are two fantastic music practitioners and performers; Natalie Willis and Mary Lovett. We spent the first week of 2013 doing research and development for an upcoming residency in the spring. It is a real privilege to be working with such a talented bunch of people I am going to be learning lots. Pictures by Saffron Paffron
So many magic moments from yesterday's Planet UV at Norwich Puppet Theatre. Watching two brothers playing with shredded paper for nearly half an hour was well worth the spectacular art installation called "Mess" that was created as result of these children playing! REALLY REALLY excited to be singing with The Sweetbeats. First gig coming up in May, check out the website for details of upcoming gigs.
The challenges of the after school ukulele club this week are mostly to do with freezing cold fingers. So cold in fact it hurts when you play. Not deterred by this we put our ukes down, turned the CD up and played our "air ukuleles" really wild! We have been having so much fun playing the uke together. All the kids are complete beginners and over the last 4 weeks have made significant progress. We have been singing songs together, practising our strumming techniques, introducing new chords and of course doing the ukulele mexican wave! E.L.F - last seen making mayhem at Holt Lights Up, soon to be appearing at Wells Christmas Tide.
